Will it fit my vehicle?
Please review this information before ordering your CG-Lock!
The CG-Lock is designed to fit most vehicles. The CG-Lock is not designed however to work with vehicle seat belt systems that use a multi-pass seat belt tongue. Please see the illustration below.

Information on the ‘double pass tongue’ seatbelt
Recently the CG-Lock was evaluated for use in the TVR Chimaera & Griffith, both having a ‘double pass tongue’ seatbelt. Below is the review originally posted on the pistonheads website. Whilst the solution works, it is not advocated by the manufacturers and is provided here for information only.
CG-Lock evaluation for fitment to TVR Chimaera and Griffith double pass seat belt buckle
There are two versions of the CGLock, the ‘Standard’ as shown on the CGLock website and the ‘Instructor’ CGLock.
Both will fit the TVR Chimaera and Griffith double pass seat belt buckle
The ‘Instructor’ CG-Lock is the same as a ‘Standard’ CG-Lock with some simple additional components and a slight variation in the curvature of the lower clamp plate. The purpose of the ‘Instructor’ CG-Lock is to allow for easy transfer from vehicle to vehicle. The CG-Lock sits on the seat belt buckle rather than being clamped to it. The ease of removal does make this CG-Lock a little more fiddly to use because it is necessary to hold the CG-Lock in place whilst tightening, a two handed job. I would advise people not to leave an ‘Instructor’ CG-Lock on the seat belt when not in use.
With simple mechanical ability it is possible to convert the ‘Standard’ to the ‘Instructor’ type and visa versa.
Fitting the ‘Standard’ CG-Lock to the TVR Chimaera and Griffith double pass seat belt buckle.
Due to the way that the seat belt passes through the seat belt buckle the CG-Lock clamp cannot be secured to the normal buckle position. The seat belt buckle does however have a tongue that can support the ‘Standard’ CG-Lock. In order to use this tongue it is necessary to turn the ‘Standard’ CG-Lock over so that the slider plate is facing in over. Fitted in this way the ‘Standard’ CG-Lock is aesthetically compromised but perfectly functional and easy to use. This would be the option I would choose because it is easy to leave the unit disengaged (not clamping the lap belt) and then with a simple push on the slider plate and pull of the seat belt the CG-Lock is engaged and working.
After a short brisk run switching from engaged to disengaged and back again I must agree with comments given earlier on this thread. For such a simple device the extra cornering control is remarkable.
