"Simply brilliant and easily the best value for money track day accessory I’ve ever bought!"

"I’ve had a cg lock in the car now for 6 months and have done many track days with it now.
It definitely holds you better in your seat and gives you the ability to concentrate more on other driving aspects."

"I bought two of these, primarily for my Nissan Skyline. However, when I read the leaflet I realised that they might well help my usual problem - backache. I drive a lot for work, so first off I fitted one of them to my day to day car.
I havent felt so good driving in ages - I drove a 400 mile round trip and felt absolutely fine at each end without even needing to stretch. I was so impressed i fitted the other to my girlfriends’ car and she is also a complete convert to both comfort and handling improvements.
Two more then got ordered for the Skyline, and the feel of the car has been improved dramatically. Both driver and passenger are now completely secured in the seats, and it just feels so much better.
So, from an initial buy to help me drive the Skyline, they’re now fitted to:
- A Nissan Almera 1.5 S for posture/health use
- A Mazda 3 Sport for posture/health use
- A Nissan Skyline GTS-T (slightly modified with induction and exhaust systems) for posture/health and performance use.
Its a brilliant gadget and one I wish I’d found years ago."

"I have never been a fan of competition 4-point harnesses in road cars, as they are simply too inconvenient to be practical as an everyday method of securing yourself in the car. I’ve got bored too many times waiting for friends in Caterhams and other such harness-equiped cars, to get their stuff together so that we can simply drive away from where we’d been! So when I read about the CG-Lock I simply had to try it.
The results are truely remarkable! When pulled tight, I am completely secure in the drivers seat, yet without having any time consuming faffing about with complex harnesses - plus I can still lean forward to reach parts of the dash that other belts simply don’t allow. With my hips and lower body secure, I am in far better control of the vehicle than if I was just using the normal seatbelt. I have one in each of my cars. My Renaultsport Spider has deep bucket seats and the simple addition of the CG-Lock secures me so totally, that there is absolutely no reason for me to buy and fit expensive harnesses - even when on trackdays or at the Nurburgring. And the fact that it can be transferred from one car to another in 2 minutes made my purchase of a CG-Lock a no-brainer for me! Top stuff chaps."

"I use my CG-lock for track and road use. Simple and effective. For such a simple and cheap upgrade it confers massive benefits. As the driver you feel far more planted and at one with the car, which increases the pure thrill of driving a Lotus. It gives you the ability to spend more time concentrating on pedal work rather than on trying to stay put in the seat! It certainly added to the enjoyment factor while spending a week driving on the Isle of Man. Thanks."

"Bought a CG Lock for my Lotus Elise after using one on a track day. What a difference, wow. This is a ‘must-buy’ for anyone that doesn’t want the inconvenience of a full harness but would like to feel ‘planted’ in their car. It is that good, I bought another for my Lotus Carlton, singularly the best modification I’ve ever bought!"

"I have CG locks fitted to my Lotus Elise which is used for both normal driving and track days. The Lotus has leather bucket seats which tend to allow you to slip down into them when driving. Full harness belts are fitted for track days but are not suitable for day to day use as they limit your maneuverability and restrict you from leaning forward e.g. to see at junctions. With the normal lap/diagonal belts I find myself slumping down in the seat.
The CG Locks are really good - they keep you seated correctly but allow upper body movement making for safer driving - especially if some spirited driving is undertaken! In fact the CG Locks are so good, and easier to use, that I have used them in preference on some track days! Congratulations on a really good product."

"I use my Lotus Elan +2 on the road, doing frequent Retro Runs/Classic Car events. The CG-Lock is on a par with the 3-point harness I used in my previous car, an original Lotus 7 Series 2. Now need a CG for the wife!"

"Although this product has had lots of good write up’s, both via their website and in the OC, I was a little sceptical until I had tried it myself. The principle of the lock is that it fits to your existing seat belt clip and locks off the lap strap to keep you firmly in your seat. Now those of you that know me know that I ain’t on the small side and once the weight is moving it’s gonna be difficult to stop. Lock fitted though I was held in place with no movement whatsoever (Colin is here to tell the tale and did not have to be peeled off the door once!!) Where this little beauty came into it’s own was on the handling circuit and alpine route where being routed to the car allow me to really enjoy the cornering, feel what the car was doing and use the steering wheel for what it was designed for - not to hang onto to help stop you from sliding in the seat. It’s only when a piece of kit like this restrains you correctly that you appreciate how much you were moving throughout cornering and heavy braking. If you are teetering on the edge of buying one or are just as sceptical as I was - then do it, you will not regret it. You will be surprised how much this little gem does what it is supposed to do and how much you will benefit from it."

"The CG-Lock is brilliant! Low back pain cured. Extreme confidence and increased ‘connectedness’ during spirited road driving. No need for harnesses on track days. I’d be lost without it!"

"A brilliant accessory I can’t imagine living without. Immediately I felt much more comfortable and supported in the car with no nagging lower back pain. I can’t believe what a difference it has made, the CG Lock makes an already amazing driving experience in the Z even better. I’ve started to recommend them to everyone I know and think they should be offered as an option from every car manufacturer."

"I regularly track, and take to circuits on the continent (Abbeville, Zolder and Spa so far, but further afield planned) which means long journeys. Even with the touring pack, the Exige isn’t the most comfortable of cars, let’s be honest, and as the car is the “Espionage” special edition, with an interior hand trimmed in wool and silk by Saville Row tailors, fitting harnesses or making significant modifications is out of the question.
I’ve found that the CG-Lock not only greatly helps with driver stability and hence car control on the track, keeping the hips tight to the seat means the lower back does far less work in ordinary driving, meaning long drives to continental circuits no longer result in a tired back by the time you get there.
As a result I’m now going to get one for the passenger seat.
Highly recommended!"

"I used the cg-lock on my first lotus activity day in Essex recently and I was very impressed. I could see my passenger clinging on to the dash to stay in his seat while I didnt even notice the side forces."

"I was a classic case, bus pass holder, aching back, leather seats in a 7 year old MGF and a good driving road to work. Since fitting the CG lock driving has become even more enjoyable as I feel part of the car, I do not move in the seat, feel safer and my back ache has gone. On my first and very recent track day at Castle Combe I went out as a passenger in a Subaru for sighting laps (without a CG-Lock) and felt like a cork bobbing about in a storm. I regard the CG lock as an essential piece of everyday kit. Fitting the CG lock has made an immediate difference - except on the bus!."

"Excellent, cheap, easy alternative for a full harness. Allows the top part of the body to move forward to allow easier vision at junctions. Really keeps you in place on the track."

"Sliding around on the slippery leather seats in my car during spirited drives and track days was no fun at all but replacing the seatbelts with full harnesses was out of the question. The CG-Lock was the perfect solution and has kept me in place allowing me to put all my attention to driving itself. And it’s so simple to fit and use and requires no permanent modification to the car."

"I have just received the complete CG lock back (after I lost the slider bar) excellent service, thank you. I am very happy with the CG-Locks. I use my car on the public road a lot and find the 4 / 5 / 6 point harnesses much too much hassle to use. The CG-Lock gives good secure seating on track (Nurburgring) and a good feeling about the cars ‘behaviour’. Keeping me in the seat firmly will undoubtedly have a positive effect in case of an accident. Thanks for this product."

"They’re great, they keep me and my passenger properly positioned in the seat in normal day to day driving. whether your on the commute or the twisties in the countryside. On the circuit they’re simply brilliant, a lot less aggravation than having a harness bar and harnesses fitted and less restrictive as you can still move your upper body around. They do a very good job of keeping your mind on the track or road ahead and not worrying about trying to stay in place in your seat on the twisty stuff. Can’t recommend them enough."

"The FB5K is about the most challenging roads in the world. Corner after corner, through gorges, up mountains, along fjords and around circuits. It’s a punishing schedule and after 5,000 of Europe’s toughest kilometres you’ll appreciate the fact that a CG-Lock encourages perfect posture. But the real joy is being totally in tune with the car, locked in place by the CG-Lock as you turn in and point the nose at the apex of the next mountain switchback. We recommend the CG-Lock to all of the drivers taking part in an FB5K tour."

"Used mine for the first time on track at the weekend at Croft.
Definitely felt better held into the seat, especially on tight corners. Recommended!"

"Used the CG lock on recent track session, really easy to fit and use. I Was very surprised just how effective it is. If you plan on doing trackdays and don’t want full harnesses I would say that the CG-Lock is an essential bit of kit."

"
I won the Canadian CAC Nationals Championship in CSS using the CG-Lock! Note that I use a race seat with harness provisions, have a roll-bar WITH harness bar… can use a harness if I want to by the rules… and I indeed HAVE a 6-pt. camlock harness… but choose to use a CG-Lock instead. Thanks!"

"I was at Buttonwillow Raceway this past weekend. I’ve been tracking my car at this same track for four years now although about three years ago I installed a set of Scroth four point harnesses for both passenger and driver. I tried the CG Lock and found it quite easy to install and use. I installed it in a matter of seconds just before the instructor orientation laps. It was a good thing too because that morning I didn’t feel like setting up my Scroth harnesses. In fact, once I got the CG Lock cinched down and was on track, I found that I didn’t really need to use the harnesses! I ended up using the CG Lock all weekend. Great product!"
