"I just wanted to give you some feedback on the recent purchase of my CG-Lock. After watching your promotional video on the website showing a young boy in a booster type seat, it was all too familiar to watch. My daughter (aged 4) also has a booster type seat and it is so true how unstable they seem to be, especially when going round sharp corners!.

I decided to give the CG-Lock a go in an attempt to keep her more stable and secure. It was really easy to fit and putting on the seatbelt is exactly the same as normal. Sometimes it needs slight adjustment according to the clothes she’s wearing, but this is really quick and easy to do.

I was really pleased with the results. The lap belt was nice and secure and stays put without her being able to ‘mess about’ with it. She certainly seems a lot more stable as she no longer leans out of the seat like she used to. As a bit of a paranoid mother, it really has given me peace of mind that she is that bit more secure.

My friends who have children have noticed it in the car and I have explained and recommended it to them. Anything that helps the safety of my child whilst travelling whether big or small has to be a good thing."

"I accidentally found out about the CG-Lock at a high performance driving event at a nearby racetrack. My driving skills were improving each day, but I felt helpless in negotiating some tight turns as my body would bounce around from one side of my seat to the other. All my energy was being wasted on holding the steering wheel tight enough to keep my hips in the seat, instead of concentrating on the driving. When one of the instructors offered the CG-Lock for me to try, everything changed. By keeping my hips “glued” to the seat I quickly felt the weight transfer of the car, and thus my driving skills improved greatly.

When I got home I checked out the website and started to use the device in my daily driving. It is comfortable, and in fact helps me keep good posture on longer drives.

When my wife recently purchased a vehicle with a third row, in order to be able to carpool with fellow mothers of young children, I was upset by the fact that the third row did not have LATCH fitting. Despite my best attempts I could not get the car seat in as tightly as it is with a LATCH system. I felt like my kids would start bouncing around the car if I took any turn faster than 10mph. That’s when the CG-Lock videos came to mind. I used the lock to place my child’s car seat in that 3rd row. What a difference!!! The seat is tight and secure. When my kids graduate to a booster seat, they will always use the device.

Being a Surgeon I’m always concerned about the science and the safety of any new device (my wife has not been allowed to drive a car without side curtain airbags, because of the dramatic reduction in head injuries associated). I reviewed some of the crash test data from the makers of CGLock. From my perspective this device can significantly decrease the risks of car accidents to any child who is in a booster, and probably to any adult who does not drive with a 5 point harness. I think this is an essential safety device that will help people drive better and when in accidents, will save many lives.

I am ordering more CG-Locks for both my cars and will bring them with us when we travel with our children."

The answer was “no”, but amazingly you offered to replace the whole unit free of charge. I expected nothing but got it all. That’s customer service.

"Its now been 18 months since I started using CG-Lock in my Ford Mondeo Estate. Since then all the seatbelts have been fitted with one, so the benefits I have been enjoying are also enjoyed by the rest of the family including my 9 year old son.

Ken Lau"After watching the videos of the CG-Lock in action I was really keen to let my 5 year old boy give it a try. It makes a massive difference! Even when I have to do hard braking or swerving, he is sat firmly onto his booster chair and no longer slides about. Hard to believe that such a simple device could make such a big difference. It takes all of 5 minutes to fit and maybe an extra 5 seconds when putting on the belt for that extra comfort and safety. Well worth it in my opinion. "I’ve never been comfortable using a booster seat for my Girls. There were times when she’s dropped something on the floor of the car and was able to pick them up even while strapped in. I just don’t see how a seat belt strap that can allow her to do that can be safe. That’s why I was so eager to review the CG-Lock. It is a small device that attaches to your car’s factory installed seatbelt that will allow you to snugly fit the belt around your child. It then continues to hold the belt in this position even when your child moves around. Installation was quick and painless once I actually started. I now feel confident that my girls are safe while riding in the car. You can be the most careful driver in the world but you can’t control the actions of others. That’s why everyone needs a CG-Lock to keep your kids safe and for peace of mind."

Richard TaylorRichard Taylor“I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the CG-Locks. I bought them for my Porsche 968CS but decided to try one in my sensible, daily-use car, a Honda CR-V. It’s a car which has to work hard for its living (see the attached picture) and go anywhere. I noticed on a recent 100-mile trip to the Scottish Borders that it seemed to be cornering more sharply than usual. At first I put it down to the slightly wider tyres recently fitted but then realised it was actually the CG-Lock that was making such a difference. The seats are not very supportive so brisk cornering has never been its forte, but the CG–Lock makes the car feel much sharper because it holds you firmly in the seat. I suspect it’s more comfortable on long, motorway journeys too. Thanks again for a great product. I might just get one for my daughter to use with her elder child’s booster seat.”

Paul I“After months of badgering I took my son Harry (see photo) to the Nurburgring. We did some slow laps to give him an idea of what being on a race track but it became apparent very quickly that with his booster seat the seat belt did not hold the lap belt tight enough. I bought the CG Lock for myself to use on track days and found that it held me in position almost as well as the harnesses do in my Lotus Exige. I also tried them with my son again and the lock just works perfectly holding him and the booster seat in place. I was that impressed that I purchased another for my daughter who also uses a booster seat. With the CG Lock in place they are secured securely in their boosters seats and do not move around. More importantly the booster seats themselves do not move or tilt as they sometimes do going around roundabouts. I would recommend this device to anyone that does track days without harnesses and parents with small children.”

"The CG harness has worked extremely well. My daughter, Gemma, is 10 years old and uses a standard Booster seat in the back of our VW Touran. Before fitting the CG Lock she would always complain of ‘falling over’ when going around roundabouts and sharp corners. Since using the CG-Lock she is able to stay completely upright when going around roundabouts, sharp corners etc and she says she feels much ’safer’ in the booster seat."

"The thing that impressed me the most was the added security for my 3.5yr old girl. The seat that she uses is an Isofix unit that fixes directly to the chassis of the vehicle. This is all great, but this also relies on the original lap belt from the car for restraint. The CG Lock maintains a firm hold of the lap part of the belt which gives me great peace of mind. By locking the unit permanently to a pre-checked tension, I’m guaranteed to always get the seat belt tension right every time. Thanks, great item!"

"The CG-Lock worked exactly as I hoped. I have 2 car seats (not booster seats) that were impossible to secure properly because my car is not equipped with the LATCH [ISOFIX] anchoring system and the factory belts are not ideally located to secure the car seat. Using the CG-Lock is the only way I have been able to hold enough tension in the lap portion of the belt properly and consistently secure the [child] car seats."
