"I’d like to compliment its versatile design where, once first fitted, which is a doddle anyway with a couple of screws and the hex key to go with it, the system is not enforced on you to use. You can simply slide off the clamping bar, by hand, with no tools required, and you have your regular seat belt system again. This is especially handy for the short trips to the shop where I don’t particularly want to use it or remove it. Keep up the good work!"

"I have had CG-Locks fitted in my Range Rover Classic for about 3yrs now. I was lucky enough to get a pair as part of an article written by Charlie Thorn for one of the Land Rover magazines (reproduced elsewhere on this site). I have had them fitted ever since and they have since been transferred from that original car into my new off-roader, also a RR Classic. I do courtesy driving for the Range Rover Register Ltd where we take people off road in our own cars to demonstrate the ability of the car and driver, while at the same time raising money for charity.
The club has various safety measures in place including an assessment/approval scheme for drivers and insurance but accidents can still happen. The CG-Locks securely hold me and my passenger while on the courses, giving an added feeling of security. Less movement means I am in a better position to maintain control of the car in all situations. Safety is paramount and the CG-Locks add to it."

"It was a pleasant surprise to have such good customer service. If only more companies looked after their customers as well as CG-Lock. By the way, the device does work very well IMHO."

"Have been using the CG-Lock for the past 2 days now and it’s bloody brilliant! Just come home off a 12 hour night shift and my hour drive home used to be very slouchy, but this morning it felt great being pinned to the seat. Feels weird being in a car without them now though, kind of an un safe feeling…"

"I recently lost the slide bar from my CG lock - my own fault! I contacted you to ask if you made replacement bars, expecting the answer would be “no”. The answer was “no”, but amazingly you offered to replace the whole unit free of charge. I expected nothing but got it all. That’s customer service.
I shall be buying two others now for my passenger and child seat in the back."

"My name is Tim Evans and I have lost my right leg, this makes driving a little difficult, but the discovery of the CG-LOCK has at last made an amazing difference. Now I can drive any automatic vehicle as the CG-LOCK holds my hips back into the seat and totally stops any submarining. The second unit that I purchased my son swiped to put in his car and now I can’t get it back as he swears by it for holding him in his seat for a little spirited driving.
I also find the CG-LOCK excellent when off roading and many of my friends in off roading clubs are interested as the CG-LOCK is a much cheaper alternative to a full harness and a lot simpler."

"The service that I received from your company was absolutely first rate, I sent an e-mail during the evening of Thursday 22nd January, the replacement arrived on saturday morning (24th) and was fitted by 11am!! How fantastic is that?"

"Its now been 18 months since I started using CG-Lock in my Ford Mondeo Estate. Since then all the seatbelts have been fitted with one, so the benefits I have been enjoying are also enjoyed by the rest of the family including my 9 year old son.
Amongst the main benefits of using one of these little devices is the after-sales service. One of my CG-Locks broke (locking lever came away) a short time ago, and seeing as it was well over a year since I purchased it, I *thought* it was no longer under warranty. Well, imagine my surprise when an email from customer support landed in my inbox not only apologising for the broken unit, but a replacement would be sent to me free of charge!! No argument, No fuss!! No quibble!! Their policy is simple: DELIGHT CUSTOMERS. Well, I am more than delighted. The after-sales support is quite simply stunning and professional.
Several days later, my replacement CG-Lock arrived in the post as promised and was promptly fitted in the car. THANK YOU CG-Lock. A superb company to deal with. A superb product to use."

"I would just like to say thanks for introducing me to the CG lock. We have fitted it to our 4×4 and it’s been excellent at relieving the back strain from long journeys.
We go diving all around the UK and often end up heading down some remote winding track to get to the scuba dive site.
Having the CG lock fitted keeps us secure in our seats, stops us sliding around and means when we arrive we are in much better shape to go diving, even after a 5 or 6 hour journey.
Thanks once again."

"We travelled, in January 2008, 5,676 miles from Suffolk to the SW Sahara and back.
Of course a chunk of that was on tarmac’ed roads but a lot was not - washed out wadis, rej, hamada (and the Hamada du Draa along which we vibrated is said to be the largest in the world) and just rocks, a landscape along the Algerian border of Morocco that often seemed to be from Mars or Saturn. This is the route, in places, of the Paris-Dakar Rally - cancelled this year because of terrorist attacks- so we took some of these stages at speed in our chipped 110 Defender TD5 hard-top.
ARB lockers, BF Goodrich A/Ts and Britpart heavy-duty (Cellular Dynamic) dampers outside, and CG-Lock and a roll-cage inside: we felt pretty secure and in control. Seats were Exmoor Trim with Outlast fabric but otherwise standard Defender design, and it was no hardship for those over 6 foot to be strapped tightly into them by the CG-Lock over long distances and warm, if not hot, conditions.
Navigation, video filming and radio work was made easier by not being strapped back into a full harness. Though we had fitted side bump pads over the top seat-belt mounts in case of rolling lurches we never actually needed them.
All in all CG-Lock is thoroughly recommended."

"I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the CG-Locks. I bought them for my Porsche 968CS but decided to try one in my sensible, daily-use car, a Honda CR-V. It’s a car which has to work hard for its living (see the attached picture) and go anywhere. I noticed on a recent 100-mile trip to the Scottish Borders that it seemed to be cornering more sharply than usual. At first I put it down to the slightly wider tyres recently fitted but then realised it was actually the CG-Lock that was making such a difference. The seats are not very supportive so brisk cornering has never been its forte, but the CG–Lock makes the car feel much sharper because it holds you firmly in the seat. I suspect it’s more comfortable on long, motorway journeys too. Thanks again for a great product. I might just get one for my daughter to use with her elder child’s booster seat."

"I love to push my vehicles & myself to the limit current motors being LR Disco 300TDI & 406 Executive Est. Auto.
First I fitted the device into the 406 & hit the back roads late at night so as not to put anyone other than me at risk… I, the moon and stars were alone on this particular road in North Yorkshire (known well to motorcyclists for obvious reasons) I proceeded to throw the car around the corners harder than I would normally do (sticking strictly to the speed limits Oooof Course mmm) anyway true to the info given to me, my lower half did not move at all. So I headed for home through Helmsly, Hovingham, Malton Wetwang. Tibthorpe & Beverly by the way this is another really good road for a test, both from the side to side movement as well as being lifted from the seat and nutting the roof lining (I’m 6ft. 4ins. Tall).
So now I popped the gismo into the Disco & went of up a couple off my favourite off road routs, these cover most off the things we Landi owners love. 30 Degree cross slopes, steep up & down hill + the usual bumps and dents. If you had glued me to the seat it would not have been as good. These really could do people suffering flatulence the world of good though God only knows what would happen when they undid the belt (RPG comes to Mind).
Should you need me to abbreviate the above, “BLOODY MARVELOUS” should do nicely.
Yours Happily"

"CG-Locks are wonderful. I’m able to use my seatbelt without the persistent feeling of nausea that I used to get following my radiation treatment. It’s great to feel so secure and yet have upperbody movement when needed at awkward junctions. I’m even thinking of getting rid of my seat belt exemption certificate! Hows that for a recommendation! Thank you all so much."

"Off-road I felt much more secure in the seat. I was thrown about less on bumpy terrain but still was able to move my upper body, essential for trial driving to enable me to look out the window at the canes. The device is especially useful on steep descents, I felt much more secure with none of the usual ‘submarining’ forwards below the lap belt.
The CG-Lock clamps to the tongue of the existing 3-point seat belt and was easily installed taking only a few minutes. Once installed, pulling up on the shoulder belt tightens the lap belt portion keeping your body firmly planted against the seat but still allowing full upper body movement. I have also used the CG lock in various other vehicles; it is especially useful in utility Land rovers that have vinyl seats where it stops you sliding about the seat. I guess it may be useful in Range Rovers with leather seats as well though I have yet to take one of these off road!
Basically it does what it says on the tin, makes off-roading more comfortable especially with vinyl covered seats. Team Mud have a few of these for sale, see our website for details. If you wish to try one give me a shout at the next event and have a go in my car or I’ll lend you one to try yourself."

"Out with the Northern Ireland Land Rover Club recently at an RTV. Two clear rounds and one 3 to place me in third! I’m a happy man! I think it was the new seats helped! Some very steep sections - really noticed how much the CG-Lock helped stop me ’submarining’."
