Dunn & Gates winning start…
Anthony Dunn and Barry Gates took their maiden win together at the first round of the Radical Enduro Sportscar Championship at Snetterton this weekend.
Despite showing great promise by recording the fastest free practice time, mechanical problems in qualifying meant that they had to start from the back of the grid from both of Sunday’s races. Anthony took the helm at the beginning of the first race and scythed through the field to lead by half distance, overtaking many of the more powerful SR8 cars & smashing the lap record by over a second in the process! He handed the car to Barry, who continued to eek out the advantage and although a nail biting safety car period closed the field back up in the final minutes, he kept his composure to bring the RPM Motorsport car home and take the win.
Proven - the CG-Lock is the lowest cost car performance part EVER!
Quantitative third party testing has proven that the CG-Lock, (a £45 seatbelt add-on) can make a bigger difference to track time performance than a variety of car modifications costing £thousands. Before the CG-Lock, similar improvements in lap times could only be achieved by adding expensive kit such as a turbocharger system, or coil over suspension upgrade with lightweight wheels and performance tyres, or an expensive cold air intake, headers and free flow exhaust.
Dunn & Gates Take First Podium
Anthony Dunn and Barry Gates made good progress with their racing partnership this weekend at Brands Hatch. Racing at the final round of the Britsports Winter series, the pair made a great start by running well in wet qualifying, with Dunn grabbing the front row of the grid, just one tenth of a second away from Pole position and ahead of much higher classed cars than their Radical SR3.
Faster Lap Times With CG-Lock Proven
Bruntingthorpe 27th July 2006. Dale Lomas, Independent journalist & test driver/reviewer set out to test the claim that the extra stability and control offered by the CG-Lock really would provide the ultimate benefit… faster lap times.
Instructor Version Launched
The CG-Lock has been proven to give a driver 80 per cent of the benefits of a race harness, but without any of the hassle. It fits in minutes to any standard seatbelt and is fully removable. Without a harness or a CG-Lock, the driver is unable to dedicate their concentration or energy to the skills of driving, because they are constantly trying to stay in the seat. This leads to a waste of energy — and a serious distraction from the enjoyment of performance driving. As top ARDS professional performance driving instructor Anthony Dunn said: "For drivers not wearing a race harness, the CG-Lock® is a must-have".
